Hi, my name is Emily and I am a trainer here at Paws for Life. My husband, Austin, and I moved to Augusta a couple of years ago from Birmingham, Alabama. I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Animal Behavior. Seeing how closely an animal’s psychology mirrored our own always intrigued me and is what pushed me to pursue a degree and career in this field.
I have spent most of my life living with and working with animals of all shapes and sizes. I’ve done everything from pet sitting to kennel management and even doggie daycares. This experience has helped me to learn so much about different types of dogs and their behavior and reactions to certain stimuli. I always strive to leverage this knowledge in my work as a trainer in order to get the best possible results out of every dog I come into contact with.
My passions have and always will be animals and learning as much as I can in order to help them succeed in life. Every pup is an individual with their own personality, habits, and challenges, and I am always excited to uncover and work to make things better for both the pups and their humans!
