AKC Canine Good Citizen
Relax knowing your dog will be confident in public. More and more apartment complexes, homeowner’s insurance and some Therapy Dog Programs require the CGC for resident dogs. Click here to find out more about the Canine Good Citizen Test.
Your training will consist of six (6) weekly one (1) hour training visits.
The CGC test will be administered on the last day of training.

Skills that are Learned & Tested:
- Accepting a friendly stranger
- Sitting politely for petting
- Appearance and grooming
- Walking on a Loose Lead
- Walking through a crowd
- Sit and Down when queued and Staying in place
- Coming when called
- Reaction to another dog
- Reaction to distraction
- Supervised separation
*Adult dogs must be up to date on all vaccinations including Rabies, DAPP, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough).
