Our canine friends and family have such a huge impact on human emotions. Their intuition has been key in knowing when someone needs them. Dogs provide emotional support in many ways – from helping to ease anxiety and stress through episode interruption to providing reassurance and distraction for the ill through touch.
Our Therapy Dog program is a 6 session one-on-one program that provides you and your dog with the skills necessary to successfully become a Certified Therapy Dog Team. Once certified you and your dog will be able to participate in visits to hospitals, nursing homes, and more.
Dogs are certified through K9 to 5 National Registry. This is a private organization recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC). This certification assures you and your dog have all of the skills needed as a Therapy Dog Team. Their standards are among the highest in the industry.
Our program stands out as we provide this as a private program. Some of our clients include dentists who provide Comfort Care Therapy in office and clients who already have specific therapy goals. At the present time, we do not offer this program as a group class.
